Description

Heratio is a pure Laravel 12 application for AI-assisted archival records management, digital asset management, and GLAM workflows. It connects directly to an archival MySQL database and operates as an independent application stack — either as an overlay on an existing AtoM database or as a standalone install.

Records in Contexts (RiC) is a first-class capability: every major entity page supports both a traditional archival view and a RiC contextual view over the same data, permissions, and identifiers.

Heratio ships as a monorepo of Laravel packages covering archival description, authority records, digital objects, ingest, AI services (NER, OCR, translation, summarisation via Ollama), RiC explorer with 2D/3D graph visualisation, research portals, Spectrum 5.1 museum procedures, and POPIA/GDPR-aligned privacy controls.
